Ubuntu PPTP VPN configuration

Step 1: Set up SecurityKISS PPTP


Right click on the "network" icon, select "Edit Connection".

Select "VPN"

Click on "add"

In the list, select 'PPTP'and click on "create"

Step 2: Configure PPTP connection



In the Connecting name - type "SecurityKISS (server name)".
In the gateway - type server IP address.
In the uesr name - type your SecurityKISS client ID.
In the Password field - type your SecurityKISS password.
Finally click on "Advanced"

Check "use Ponint-to-Ponint encryption(MPPE)" and click "OK"

You will get back to the configuration window, then click "Apply"

Now you are back to "network connection" and can close the window.

Step 3: Connect to VPN server



On the "network" icon click the left mouse button and select "VPN connection", then select the server which you added previously.

Wait a few seconds to establish connection. Now you connected via SecurityKISS Tunnel.

Once you make a successful connection, you will see a key icon in your notification area indicating you are connected to a VPN.
