Windows XP L2TP VPN configuration

Step 1. Open the Network Connections window.

using 'Start' -> 'Network connections' or 'Control Panel' -> 'Network connections' and choose 'Create a new connection'

Step 2. Click 'Next' to continue.

Step 3. Select 'Connect to the Network at my workplace' and click 'Next'.

Step 4. Select 'Virtual Private Network connection' and click 'Next'.

Step 5. Type a name for this connection in the box Company Name and click 'Next'.

Step 6. Enter Server name and IP address and click 'Next'.

Step 7. Click 'Finish'.

Step 8. Type your user name, password and click 'Properties'.

Step 9. Choose 'Security' and click 'IPSec Settings'.

Step 10. Type pre-shared key and click 'OK'. You can find SecurityKISS PSK secret in Client Area Panel on L2TP tab.

Step 11. Choose 'Networking', type of 'VPN L2TP IPSec VPN' and click 'Ok'.

Step 12. Enter user name and password and press 'Connect'.
