Nokia Symbian L2TP VPN configuration

This manual shows how to configure Nokia Mobile VPN client 4.3 on Nokia smartphones with Symbian OS and Symbian Anna.

Step 1 Load the Nokia Mobile VPN from Nokia Store

Step 2 Download and install Nokia Configuration Tool (NCT) on your PC

Step 3 Download Nokia Mobile VPN config template

Step 4 Start Nokia Configuration Tool and select from menu bar: Tools and then VPN Configuration

Step 5 Open My_mVPN_config.vpn from the location you saved the file

Step 6 Change the Policy name to any convenient name that will identify the connection

Step 7 Get server IP and Pre-Shared Key (PSK) from SecurityKISS Client Area Servers/L2TP tab

Step 8 In Nokia Configuration Tool select Tab Preshared Key and add one of the server IP addresses and PSK. Next save the configuration.

Step 9 Transfer the saved .vpn file to your phone.

Step 10 Alternatively send the file directly to the phone if it is connected to NCT

Step 11 Open the file with File Manager to install the VPN policy. Go to Menu -> Office - > to launch the File Manager. Select C: Phone memory

Step 12 Select folder Other and click on the My_mVPN_config.vpn. Note that you need to have the Nokia mVPN client installed on the device before installing then VPN policy file.

Step 13 Answer Yes to the Install request

Step 14 Test web browsing. Enter your client ID as username and the same password you use to log in to the client area panel
